About Car Lovers (Est. 2004)
Car Lovers is a family operated valeting and detailing company in Navan, run by Michael and Naoimh O'Brien, Certified Detailer & Professional Valetor (CD - PV).
Michael started cleaning cars after coming home from Australia in the early 2000s, and opened Car Lovers in 2004. Over twenty years on, we’re a family run business with 6 staff members, and our 3 children helping in the background. Our passion is cars, and we strive to bring great service and an unbelievable standard every time.
Our team is fully trained in transforming even the most tired vehicles to the showroom condition they once were, from our new purpose-built workshop. Every car we detail is an advertisement for our business. As the saying goes, “you are only as good as your last job”. We’re proud to place our Car Lovers sticker (optional) and our logo air freshener in each car.

In 2026 we were asked onto the Virgin Media One series Cleaning Up Ireland, to let viewers and customers see what happens behind the scenes at Car Lovers. We’re known for taking on the jobs others turn away from, from everyday family cars to rare classics and cars left in a state nobody else would touch.
Since the show we’ve had two newspaper interviews, in The Sun and the Sunday Times, and a 10 minute interview on LMFM radio. All episodes are on the Virgin Media Play app.

What we take on
We can renovate Cars, SUVs, MPVs, Jeeps, Vans, Mini-buses, Campers, Boats, Trucks and even Tractors. We also offer sign writing removal, paint and overspray removal, full machine buffing and paint correction, from your average Irish car to exotic sports cars.
